Satellite Tv – 5 Major Advantages

The fight between satellite tv and cable tv is maybe at its most important moment. For the past decade, satellite tv services such as DirecTV and Dish Network have been growing and growing in popularity at a very fast pace. Of course, each system has its own advantages and disadvantages, but satellite tv still has that new irreversible appeal which draws more and more people into subscribing. However, which are the exact strong points that satellite tv has? 1.Wide array of channels Americans probably spend more time in front of the tv than any other nation in the world. A whooping 16% from the day of the average American is spent watching television, and over 65% of all American households have 3 or more tv sets in their homes. The numbers say it all, and with such an audience, satellite tv had to produce something specia miller welders l to beat the cable tv competition. And it did. It has the widest array of available channels, and you can easily watch tv stations from all over the world. 2. Wider coverage If you live in a more isolated place where cable tv is not available, you can always get satellite tv. The only condition is that you have a clear view of the southern skies, because this is the only way in which you will be able to acquire the signal. What this means is that there must not exist any mountains or tall buildings in your South. 3. Great sound and image quality This is, again, one of the strong points of satellite tv. The image quality is crystal clear, and so is the sound. The system has established new standards in terms of picture and sound quality, especially due to the fact that satellite tv is broadcast in digital format.

Harmful Effects of Cell Phone Radiations

In the earlier days, cellular phones were of brick size and they were usually attached to immobile surfaces such as cars etc. However, developments in technology, have led to the introduction of many pocket sized mobile phones. The mobile phone depends upon the use of radiations for its function. Since the whole world has been lured by this necessity, there is always a concern about the harmful effects of the radiations. The harmful effects of the cell phone radiations were exposed in the year 1993. A case was reported in Florida, wherein a law suit was filed by a man, who claimed that his wife had been affected by brain tumour, because of the use of cell phone. It was only after such a case, that numerous researches have been conducted to find out if the cell phones really emit r nanacast adiations that are harmful. While some of the studies indicate that the microwaves emitted by the cell phones doubled the cancer cells in mice, the Cellular Telecommunications Association has spent so much on the research of the harmful radiations emitted by the cell phones. It still remains a controversy and it is still not proved whether cell phone radiations are harmful or not. The cell phones have been supposed to give out what is known as the Electromagnetic Radiations. As the phones are powered by electricity, they are believed to give out their electrical and magnetic fields. These radiations are emitted by other electronic goods such as microwave oven, electric clocks, computers and other such appliances. Such radiations come under the category of non ionizing radiations.
